Avery Collins, a native of Central Arkansas, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with an undergraduate degree in biology. She continued her education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) where she obtained a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and graduated with honors. Avery's interest in dermatology began when she was in college and was reinforced during her clinical and elective training. After completion of her degree, she joined the Arkansas Dermatology team where she evaluates various dermatologic conditions such as acne, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea, and skin cancer. 

Avery is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants (ARAPA), and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). 

In her free time, Avery enjoys traveling, playing with her dog, and spending time with friends and family.
